The Joy of Library Book Sales

Folks, I have been enlightened. I went to the Boston Public Library book sale this afternoon and got seven books for only $11. I got:

Atonement – Ian McEwan

Digital Fortress – Dan Brown

Like Water for Chocolate – Laura Esquivel

War of the Worlds – H. G. Wells

The Girl Who Played With Fire – Stieg Larsson

The Gate House – Nelson DeMille

The Time Traveler’s Wife – Audrey Niffenegger

Atonement, Like Water for Chocolate, and War of the Worlds are on The List; I got The Girl Who Played With Fire for my roommate, who just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo; and the others I got just because. And for only $1 each, who could say no??

I started reading Atonement on my way back to BC, and I’m already really enjoying it. If anyone has any suggestions as for what to read once I’m done with Atonement (and the other two books I’m currently reading), List or not, let me know!! I love getting recommendations, and I love buying books–it’s really the only thing I’ll let myself splurge on. Which is why I love library book sales! So glad I went today, and I can’t wait for the next one in a few months πŸ™‚
