Some Changes

Dearest followers,

I’m guessing some of you have noticed that I’ve been incessantly messing with my blog layout these past few days. I think I’ve got it basically where I want it, so I should be calming down soon, but I want to thank you for your patience and apologize for any confusion I may have caused.

As you can see, the layout is pretty different now. The slider on the top is going to feature my most recent reviews, and the posts underneath will be a list of older reviews plus Top Ten Tuesdays and the other regular memes I do. Please forgive the fact that the featured images in the slider will often be awkward because I can’t seem to find a good way to preview what the image will look like in the slider before the entry is published. Darn the lack of customizability in these themes!

Anyway, I’m hoping that things will still be easy for you to find–if they’re not or if you have other suggestions, feel free to either comment on this post or use the (new!) Contact page!

And finally, I’m really bad at ending posts (when I was in school I could write an entire essay in an hour and then spend another two hours agonizing over the closing sentence) so here are some pretty bookshelves to look at!

I wonder if the shelves are all actually made of books or just made to look like they are?

I love all the natural light and the wood paneling in this room. It also has a very interesting shape. I’d love a room like this!

Ah, and finally, an image that caters nicely to my OCD.

  1. Looks great! I had wondered what was going on with the blog. I follow you on RSS feed and I kept getting these ‘This is a post’ and ‘This is another post’ – I definitely loved the pictures – but was definitely curious to see what was up!

    • Ah, that might be because I have another blog that I started in October and never actually update, so I make all my changes there before I do anything on this one–but if you follow me as a blogger/author/whatever, that would make sense!

Either way, I’m glad you like the changes! Sorry for all the confusion 🙂

  2. The Beloved did the books-by-color thing in our upstairs room. At first I was like: NOOO!! Books must be arranged by author or genre!!!” — but it looks pretty cool, I gotta say.

    • Haha, I’m not sure I could ever do it in my own house, but I like the way it looks in the photo! I’m glad it’s working out for you 🙂

    • Same! I might have to do some kind of DIY project with those sturdy children’s books when I actually have kids…how wonderful would would it be to have something like that in a nursery?

        • It’s also done for the sake of other books…so I wouldn’t feel TOO bad about it…plus, maybe we could use old grody (sorry, “antique”) ones and coat them in polyurethane or something before starting so that they wouldn’t decay any further, but they also wouldn’t really have been great to give to a kid anyway.
