Top Ten Books on Your Fall TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday

Oh man, I didn’t really accomplish anything on my summer TBR list, so it feels like cheating to make a new one for fall…oh well. There are only a few that I can think of that make it onto my fall list just because October will be CRAZY with my job, and since I still have plenty to read from my summer list…

The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde. This is a cheap one, because I’m reading this right now. But technically it counts as being on my list I guess? Oscar Wilde is really very funny but I did forget just how verbose he can be. I’m just glad I’ve read this already (back in high school) so I won’t be as “WTF just happened?” at the end of it this time. At least, hopefully I won’t be.

The Casual Vacancy – J. K. Rowling. I’m not at all sure what to expect from JK in her first adult fiction book, but I’m excited for it nonetheless. I’ve already preordered my copy on Amazon! I just don’t know what I’m going to do with a J.K. Rowling book that isn’t about the magical world of Hogwarts. Who else is feeling both anticipation and hesitancy regarding JK’s new book?

The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – Douglas Adams. I started this one a while ago and I think I got through the first two books, but never finished. I’m going to need something light/airy/humorous to make me not want to jump off a bridge these next two months, and this might just be it.

Sorry friends, I think this is it…I still haven’t read anything on my summer TBR list, so feel free to check that out as well as an addition to this list 🙂

What are you most looking forward to reading this fall?

  1. I’m on the fence about J.K. Rowling’s book as well. I only read the 1st HP and am too lazy to go back and re-read it so as to continue the rest of the series. So I have no idea what to expect regarding her writing or what kind of novel it will be. Maybe I’ll wait for the reviews and see how it goes.
