All You Need Is Books

All you need is books

This Valentine’s Day, I remember and honor my first love: books!

Who was there for me when I got dumped by my first boyfriend? Books. Who was there when I spent a summer alone in Boston? Books. Who can comfort, terrify, amuse, and devastate me all at the same time? Books. I’m pretty confident that if I had never gotten married, I wouldn’t be a crazy cat lady; I’d be a crazy book lady.

What was the first book you ever loved?

  1. First book I ever loved was probably Enid Blyton’s The Enchanted Wood but the first that has left a lasting impression and that I still read now would be Little Women.

Also, as a single woman, I am well on my way to becoming the Crazy Book Lady! Ahaha.

  2. I’m sure there were others before this, but the one that keeps insistently coming to mind is The Phantom Tollbooth.Such an immersive story, and so much fun to read someone unabashedly enjoying words and numbers and ideas.
