Challenge Update: April

So…I can’t believe it’s April already. It feels like just last week that I was writing my March challenge update. But spring has officially sprung, and quite a bit more than last month! I took my first run of the season this morning, and while I didn’t die…I kinda felt like I was going to. But now that I’ve accomplished that today, I can spend the rest of the day working on my challenges!

Goodreads Challenge

I’ve read 15 books so far this year, which, according to Goodreads, puts me three books ahead of schedule! I think this is probably partially thanks to having read both The Damned and The Never List in one day. Woo!

Dive Into Diversity Challenge

I’ve read and reviewed three books on my Dive Into Diversity list so far: Ready Player One, Silver Sparrow, and Little Peach. Ready Player One was probably my favorite, but as I mentioned last month, I’m not sure it really counts as “diverse” for me. “Diverse” means something different for everyone, and I think it was on a list of suggested books because the genre might be something that not everyone would normally go for. Unfortunately, sci-fi is kinda my jam (one of a few, anyway), so it probably doesn’t quite meet the “diverse” standards I’m looking for. But it was still a great book!

Hail to the King

No updates here, although I’ve started reading The Gunslinger again—I’d really like to give the Dark Tower series a try, seeing as a lot of people consider it to be King’s magnum opus. I hope I like it better this time!
