Children’s Books Reimagined As Adult Books

Children’s Books As Grownup Books

Now…what do you think these books are actually about?

I think Charlotte’s Web of Lies would probably be a steamy romance novel with a woman in a flowy red dress on the cover. She’d be scary-beautiful, sort of like Angelina Jolie, and maybe have juuuust a glint of red in her eyes. The Wonderful Wizard of Ozark Street would probably one of those super sappy Jodi Picoult/Nicholas Sparks-type novels that only women over 50 read, about a normal everyday guy who discovers he has healing powers or something. Although if it was healing powers the title would probably be something more blatantly religious.

Where The Wild Things Are Now would probably be some big anthology of where all those child stars of the 80s and 90s have ended up—particularly the ones who have flamed out. And The Little Engine That Could Think For Itself would be a self-help book that would encourage people to be more assertive in the workplace. Or something.
