Happy New Year, friends!! 2013 is going to be a good year, I can feel it.
Like last year, I’m making some reading resolutions; but unlike last year, I hope to be a little better at keeping them. (Although I guess I only didn’t keep one resolution, but this year I want to keep all of them!) So without further ado, here they are:
Read at least 60 books. I read 52 in 2012, so I think I could read 60 on 2013, yes?
Read at least 30 new-to-me books. I love to reread, so making half of my 60 books in 2013 new reads might not be the easiest thing for me.
Read at least 10 books released after 2010. I’m not very good at keeping up with newly released books and I KNOW there are some great ones. This is my resolution to try to read more of the fantastic new releases out there! I’d love to get some recommendations so please comment with new releases you’ve loved!
Read at least 7 new-to-me Stephen King books. I think this is pretty self-explanatory.
Read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I know, I know, how could I have not read Lord of the Rings? But this year I WILL read it. Or at least I’m going to try it again.
Try these three books again (I’ve started them all but not finished):
- Moby Dick
I think that’s it for now, but I reserve the right to add resolutions as the year goes on, because I know I’m forgetting some. 🙂 I’m going to write another post about general blogging resolutions soon as well.
Hope you’re all enjoying 2013 so far!by
